A change in the format for this year’s Harrison Barometer saw the introduction of “Aussie Pairs” being used for the first time in a competition event. The 2-4-2 pattern of bowling appeared popular amongst the members with some 12 teams vying for the coveted barometer trophy.

There was much to be admired during the afternoon with some impressive performances from our junior champion John Long and newcomer Trevor Quayle and partner Mel Reed who pushed all the way to grab the runner up position by just a couple of shots from the worthy winners Marcia Pearson and David Quirk who continues his winning streak of form in this season’s events.
