Exciting news has been released today regarding the 2026 Commonwealth Games, which is to be hosted in Glasgow. Following the disappointment of Victoria pulling out, whether the games would go ahead was a question in itself, but when it was announced a month or so ago that it would go ahead, a massively reduced schedule and number of sports was mooted. This morning the CGF have announced the sports to be included, and we are thrilled to relay that lawn bowls is one of the 10 sports included.

LBIOM will be working with the CGAIOM over the coming weeks with a view of establishing further details on the games, team numbers and ultimately the qualification standards our athletes must achieve in order to be in contention for team selection.
