LAWN BOWLS ISLE OF MAN
The finals of the National Triples Championships were concluded at the weekend with a record number of members taking part.
The Ladies Section was extremely competitive and following the closely contested round robin format it was the combination of Anne Bannan, Glynis Drinkwater and skip Bernice McGreal who came out of top to claim the title.
In the Men’s Championship there were 6 teams battling for the honours throughout the afternoon with the triumphant trio being Dave Ball, John Long (one of the club’s junior members picking up his first national title which will surely be the first of many for this young man), skipped by Clive McGreal.
